Research Assistance Available

The Cloud County Genealogical Society (CCGS) can accommodate both on-site research and requests via telephone, mail, and email. We do not respond to requests to provide "everything you've got" on a surname. We will do research in our library and archive resources.

Results will be emailed or mailed. We may offer suggestions how you may continue researching, provide alternate resources and/or suggest hiring a professional genealogist. Please allow two weeks for requests to be completed. If we cannot fulfill your request, we will try to direct you to the appropriate source, free of charge.

Our current rate is $20.00 per hour plus any expenses related to the search. Copies are currently $0.15 or $0.25 per copy depending on the type of copy. Upon completion of the research project, a statement will accompany the requested information.

If you are traveling to Concordia, KS to research your family and need assistance, we are happy to assist if possible. Just let us know when you plan to be in town and we will arrange for someone to meet with you.

Note that the Cloud County Historical Museum (635 Broadway St) and the Cloud County Courthouse (811 Washington) are both a short half-block walk from the Frank Carlson Library (702 Broadway St).
