The Cloud County Genealogical Society was formed in 1977 and is dedicated to preserving the family histories of past and present Cloud County residents.

Membership is open to anyone interested in Family history.
Membership dues are $5.00 per yr for individuals and $6.00 per yr for family.
Life membership is $100.00

Our collection of information about Cloud Co. Kansas is located at the Frank Carlson Library, 702 Broadway, Concordia, Ks. You are invited to look through our collection at your leisure anytime the library is open. Look through the Resources Available page for what is in our collection.

We are always glad to do what we can to help in family research. If you need and want our help with your family search, all you need to do is provide us with the information you would like to have and some information about the person [ name, birth date/place & death date/place ] we will be looking for.

Currently we are charging $15.00 per hour plus any expenses related to the search. Copies are either 15 or 25 cents a copy depending on type of copy. A statement will accompany the requested information when we are finished.

If you are coming to Concordia and Cloud Co. to research your family and need some help we will be glad to assist you in your search for your ancestor. Just let us know when you will be there and we will arrange for someone to assist you. While you are in Concordia you will notice that the Cloud County Historical Society Museum and the Cloud County Courthouse are a short half-block walk from the Frank Carlson Library. You will find considerable amounts of good information at all three places.

The Cloud County Genealogical Society meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the National Orphan Train Complex Research Center except for December. Meeting time is 7:00.p.m. We do occasionally meet elsewhere & those times/places are advertised in the Concordia
Blade-Empire. Our meetings are open to anyone.
